Ensuring information security of automated systems

The main duties of an information security technician are:
- implementation of the acquisition, configuration, configuration of security subsystems of automated systems;
- use and execution of technical documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory legal acts;
- organization and configuration of computer networks;
- work with protocols of different levels;
- installation and configuration of modern network protocols, installation of computer networks;
- diagnostics of computer networks, troubleshooting computer networks;
- diagnostics, elimination of failures and ensuring the operability of software and hardware tools for ensuring information security;
- the use of standard cryptographic means and methods of information protection, including electronic digital signature.
Type of profession in the subject of labor: the main activity of the information protection technician is associated with working with numbers and codes, which allows us to classify it in the subject of labor as the “Person - Sign System” type. Also, the profession can be attributed to the type of «Man - Technique», as the work is associated with the installation, assembly and commissioning of software and hardware information protection.
Type of profession according to working conditions: work both in “room” conditions and at information protection facilities.
Profession class: performing (algorithmic), by the nature of the work, the profession assumes the performance of standard tasks according to the model, in compliance with the established rules, standards, instructions.
An information protection technician should have such personal qualities as accuracy, attentiveness, determination, ability to make decisions independently, responsibility, patience, perseverance, a penchant for intellectual activities, independence (having one’s own opinion).
