Suslov V.B. graduate of the All-Union Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (Moscow). While serving in the army he specialized in the field of radio communications. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded medals: "For courage", "For the victory over Germany", "For the capture of Berlin." After the war, he worked as a teacher, then as a design engineer. Since 1958 - Chief designer of the experimental production of pb 7, soon became the chief designer of pb 7. From 1961. He works as Chief Designer of the Electronic Equipment and Electronic Instruments Factory.
Since 1969 Suslov V.B. - Director of the Astrakhan Radio Engineering College.
An important stage in the history of our school is associated with the name of the second director of ARTT. Great attention is paid in these years to the development of technical creativity of students. Since 1969 the technical school begins to participate in contests for the best laboratory (office) among colleges in Astrakhan. In the technical school, scientific and technical conferences on Radio Day are becoming a tradition.
In May 1974 Technical School takes part in the exhibition of educational institutions of the Ministry of Radio Industry at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow. Along with the scientific work, amateur art activities are actively developing. In 1974 in ART under the direction of Glazkov LA, a variety ensemble is created, a three-time winner of regional contests VIA, a multiple winner of audience sympathies, city and regional music competitions. In 1974 under Suslov VB a new specialty 0501, Metal cutting, is opened. Work has begun on the creation of areas: point-arc reconciliation, electronic graphic, photo chemical, engraving, painting sites and electroplating - coatings.
